Manchester City's Pep Guardiola, Kevin De Bruyne shortlisted for Premier League September awards

They were clearly the best, weren't they?

Manchester City had an incredible start to the Premier League season that continued in September, and some recognition would be nice.

Pep Guardiola and Kevin De Bruyne have been shortlisted for the Barclays Manager of the Month and EA Sports Player of the Month awards, respectively. Pep is shortlisted for the second straight month, and after losing the award to Hull City caretaker manager Mike Phelan in August, Guardiola seems to be the clear favorite to get the honors for September.

Pep guided City to three more wins in September, which completed a six-game winning streak to kick off the season, and despite the loss to Tottenham Hotspur (which happened in October), the Citizens are still leading the Premier League.

De Bruyne has been the best player in England since the campaign started, and while he's injured now, he was the main star in City's three September victories, including a stellar performance in the Manchester Derby.

Public voting counts for 10% this season, which means our votes actually matter a little bit. You can vote for Pep here, and for Kevin here. The full shortlists are below:
