The winless streak continues, and with Barcelona coming up to play at the Etihad in just a few days, Manchester City desperately need a victory against West Bromwich Albion on Saturday. Playing at The Hawthorns against a Tony Pulis side is never easy, but City can't afford to drop points anymore.

Pep Guardiola certainly had that in mind when he played a lot of reserves and youngsters in the EFL Cup match against Manchester United. Jose Mourinho played his biggest names, and got a 1-0 win to kick the Citizens out of the League Cup. Guardiola saw very good things from his young players in that game, and while losing is never nice, it's only the EFL Cup.

Now there are two crucial matches in the next few days, and all the big stars are rested and ready to go. Pep will certainly play his strongest side against Barça, but don't expect too many changes in his selection for the game against the Baggies.
