The League Cup doesn't normally matter too much to the big Premier League teams, but when Manchester United and Manchester City are about to play, then it's as big as the World Cup.

The two local rivals face off in the second Derby of the season, once again at Old Trafford. The Citizens won the first one and claimed early bragging rights two months ago in a spectacular football match, but things have changed since then and both teams enter this Derby in Desperation Mode, instead of Fun Mode.

Pep Guardiola and Jose Mourinho have struggled recently, and their teams' form doesn't reflect their talents as managers. The two are bitter rivals since their days in Spain, so the motivation to beat each other will certainly make this a big game for them, regardless of the competition.

Because it's the EFL Cup, they aren't expected to put their biggest names on the pitch, but the 22 reserves and youngsters who are likely to start will be Jose and Pep soliders, ready to do battle for their bosses who will look to defeat each other. That's what makes this so fun: it's Jose vs Pep again.

It's another chance to watch the Reds and Sky Blues clashing, it's another chance to see the Old Trafford, it's another chance to have fun with a Derby. This has must-see written all over it and then some. You simply cannot miss it.
