Manchester City need a strong response to the ugly Champions League loss to Barcelona in midweek, and they'll have a very good test this weekend, as the Citizens face Southampton at Etihad Stadium looking for a victory that will send them back to the top of the Premier League table.
Arsenal and Liverpool are one point above the Sky Blues, and a win against Saints will help City open up a two-point gap to the vice-leaders, which will be great news in case City are able to end a four-game winless streak in all competitions. Southampton is a very good team, though, and they will make this tough for the Citizens.
Pep Guardiola is dealing with criticism for the first time in his young City career, but he will never change his philosophy and will look to answer the critics by making his team win while playing Pep Ball again. It won't be easy to beat Saints, but if City can do it in beautiful fashion, they'll show why Guardiola's style works well in England.
This is an early kickoff, but it's a very good match and you should definitely wake up early on a Sunday to see it. You can watch it online with NBC Sports Live. The full listings are below. Don't miss it!
