Nikita Parris  who spent 2015 on loan at Manchester City from Everton has joined MCWFC permanently.

Parris scored 11 goals on loan last year.

Her thoughts on making the move:

"I'm really happy to have signed permanently," she told mcfc.co.uk. "I'm so glad because here at City, I feel I've got a place I can call home.

"I love the people here - obviously I already knew Toni [Duggan] and Jill [Scott] - but I've also made new friends and the staff are lovely.

"It was an easy decision for me. I wanted to stay in WSL 1 and I didn't want to go to any other club.

"Last season, City provided me with the opportunity to stay in the top division and I wanted to reward them with my full registration."

On last season:

"Last season was a bit up and down," she conceded. "We finished it disappointed because we didn't win any silverware but we qualified for the Champions League which is a big achievement for the Club and I'm glad to be staying so I can help them to push on.

Looking ahead to next season:

"We're going for all of the cups and every player is determined to win a trophy this season."

"It will be an exciting season for all of us," she declared.

"On a personal level, I want to score more goals and become a better team player.

"I'm really looking forward to working with the new signings we've made. I've welcomed them to the Club and as Jane is another forward, I can't wait for the competition.

"We're teammates at the end of the day and we've got the same goal - we want to win.

"I just want to build on what I did last season and I'm so happy to be staying."

Nick Cushing's Lady Blues will begin the new season in the Spring.
