Kevin De Bruyne will miss ten weeks of football for Manchester City and Belgium. The player tweeted on Thursday the bad news:

Without De Bruyne the Blues will become even more reliant on David Silva whose recent form has been cause for concern. Samir Nasri another natural creative central midfielder is out for another 6-8 weeks and has been injured for most of the 2015-16 campaign. The news means De Bruyne will miss the Blues two leg UEFA Champions League tie with Dynamo Kyiv as well as the Capital One Cup Final at Wembley on February 28 vs Liverpool. He will also miss up to 12 Premier League matches as the Blues try and chase down league-leading Leicester City to claim a third Premier League title in five seasons. The good news for De Bruyne is he will be back for Euro 2016 tournament where his Belgian side is counted among the favorites.
