Patrick Roberts came to Manchester City this past summer for a fee of £11 million from Fulham. But injuries and being down the depth chart have limited the young attacker to just three appearances this season. The 18 year-old is coming off an injury and needs to get playing time to regain match fitness and continue his long-term development.
Manager Manuel Pellegrini indicated that Roberts is likely to go out on loan.
"Patrick has been injured for the last two or three weeks - now we'll talk about his future," Pellegrini said on Friday."It was important for him to work with the first-team for the first half of the season, now we'll see about the next part.
"I say once again, we are happy with the squad, we will not bring anyone in and no-one will go."
So Roberts is likely to get loaned out while other moves are unlikely. What are the thoughts on this potential move by Manchester City fans? Would you like to see Roberts stay with the Blues for the second half of the season?
