Manchester City Goalkeeper Joe Hart has been brutally honest following several Blues matches this season. Tonight following the 2-1 win at Watford, where City left it late, Hart singled out right back Bacary Sagna who had an outstanding night both defensively and going forward.
"I think great credit needs to go to Bacary Sagna tonight, he's played a lot of games because of Pablo Zabaleta being injured so for him to be flying down the wing like a steam train so late in the game and then put in a cross like that for Sergio to score from is fantastic. He has done so much for the team this season."
"We were one down and not particularly going anywhere. It was a terrible goal to concede but we hung in there with a great goal from Yaya and Kun's header was evidence of the type of player we know he is.
"We have it in it us to come back like that, but just as we did at Stoke, once you go behind to teams like this it's very difficult to come back and I was just hoping and praying we'd find a way, and we did."
He said: "We've got to build on this now - this result can only be good for us because it ends a run of six Premier League games in a row without a win which isn't title-winning form, but we've somehow managed to stay in the hunt.
"We've still got all the clubs who are around us to come to the Etihad and I think we're in a good place.
"We've got a big cup game to come now this week and even though we're not where we want to be, we're close and this was a big result for us."
It remains to be seen if Hart might have the week off with two cup matches and an opportunity for Manuel Pellegrini to play backup keeper Willy Caballero.
