American Daphne Corboz Extends MCWFC Stay

American International Daphne Corboz who has regularly featured for the US U-23 team has extended her stay with the Manchester City Women's FC.  Corboz told the official Manchester City website:

"It feels great to have signed a new contract," she told mcfc.co.uk. "Choosing to come here was the best decision of my life so it wasn't a difficult decision to stay.

"I feel I've learned a lot as a player and a person. As I mentioned last year, the facilities here are second to none, and the staff and players I get to learn from every day are incredible too.

"They have made my experience amazing."

Ever humble, Corboz conceded she is still adapting to the English game but is thoroughly enjoying the challenge.

"The style of play here - the way the league works - is different from the USA," she continued, "but I was pleased to able to get a little bit of success.

"The team did really well last year and personally, I always want to be able to contribute as much as I can."
