Manchester City dropped two points in the tight Barclays Premier League title race, in a 0-0 draw against Everton Wednesday night at The Etihad Stadium. The Citizens had several opportunities late on to break the deadlock, but the combination of Everton's Tim Howard who in recent weeks has been off his game, some dodgy Manchester City finishing and some poor officiating conspired to keep Manuel Pellegrini's men from claiming all three points.
The Manchester City title challenge has petered in recent weeks - the Blues have now dropped points in three of the last five league matches and last won back-to-back away matches in August. In fact, it can be argued based on recent results that since mid-September Manchester City has been no stronger in the league than Manchester United or Liverpool.
