Loan Report: Week 3

Roundup of our out-of-town talent.

Not much has changed on the loan front since the last update. Jason Denayer has gone to Galatasaray with Nicolas Otamendi joining City last week, but that's been it. There were hopes that Marcos Lopes would head out on loan one more season too as Kevin De Bruyne looks set to join City, but instead Lopes has joined Monaco in a deal for around 9 million. Quite the disappointment.

The last two weeks have been disappointing for Facey, Angelino, and NYCFC. They drew 2-2 against Columbus before getting absolutely clobbered by LA Galaxy in a highly anticipated match (in both the States and England), 1-5. The match was supposed to feature a showdown between Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard, but the latter was injured and did not participate in the drubbing. Facey didn't play against Columbus, but played the full 90 against LA. Angelino played all 180 minutes in both matches.

Olivier Ntcham made his debut for Genoa last weekend, playing the full 90 at left wing in a 0-1 loss to Palermo. It's great to see the 19-year-old involved straight away for the Italian side. It's a competitive team to be in and a competitive league to participate in, which means Ntcham is gaining extremely valuable experience. Left wing seems kind of out of position for him, but we'll find out more about that as the season goes on.

Seko Fofana has continued to be a hit for Bastia, playing every minute of a 1-1 draw with Lorient, and a 3-0 win against Guingamp. He's been an integral part of Bastia's setup, which are currently in second place just behind PSG in the early goings.

Finally, Enes Unal is starting to break into the Genk side. He came on for the final 6 minutes of a 2-1 win over KVC Westerlo, and followed that up with a full 90 in a 1-3 loss against Sint-Truiden. No goals or assists yet for the young striker, but more opportunities seem to be coming his way.
