For now it looks like road woes are a thing of the past for Manchester City. After a convincing 3-0 victory at the Hawthorns, City are looking impressive after a poor preseason, one that left some fans somewhat pessimistic about how the season could turn out. Of course, it is only one match, so to say City will win the league is overstated, but nonetheless, City look impressive, and this form will be greatly improved by the return to match day fitness for the likes of Fernandinho, Sergio Agüero, Pablo Zabaleta and Martin Demichelis, who played in this summer's Copa America.
With many key men back to form, it will be curious to see how manager Manuel Pellegrini will line up City. It will be very likely to see Agüero, Zabaleta and Demichelis all back in the starting XI. Fernandinho's selection currently looks difficult after Yaya Touré and Fernando paired well against West Brom last week. It is obvious that Pellegrini was quite relaxed with his squad choices for the first match of the season against West Brom, but it is clear that players like Agüero will most likely start in order to assure maximum points at home, especially against a Chelsea side looking for a win after a draw at home against Swansea City.
My Predicted Starting XI: Hart, Kolarov, Kompany, Demichelis, Zabaleta, Touré, Fernando, Sterling, Silva, Navas, Agüero
