Every season this matchup arouses passion and even more so since Jose Mourinho's return to Chelsea. In Mourinho's first season in English Football, Manchester City then led by Kevin Keagan were the only Premier League team the self-proclaimed "Special One" failed to defeat. In the first season of Mourinho's second stint at Chelsea, they were the only side Manchester City failed to take a point from despite winning the title. Person enmity also exists between Mourinho and Manchester City Manager Manuel Pellegrini.

These two sides finished first and second in the Premier League last season and face off yet again the early days of the 2015-16 campaign. This week's headlines have been dominated by Jose Mourinho's public attacks on his medical staff. Focus on the game has been minimal in the media because of the controversy and it will be fascinating to see how this impacts both teams.
