Manuel Pellegrini left promising youngsters Kelechi Iheanacho and Jason Denayer on the bench Monday night against West Brom. Given the circumstances which saw the Blues well in the control of the match, would this have provided an opportunity to give one or both of the young players a run out in a hostile Premier League away match?
Given the current squad constraints on the Blues it is possible one or both players might have to chip in this season at some point. Obviously the Blues Manager is likely to field both players in the League Cup when MCFC enters that competition next month, but chances to give either player low pressure Premier League experience away from home might be few and far between.
With all of this in mind, should Pellegrini have opted to put either Kelechi Iheanacho or Jason Denayer in the game with the team's last substitution and just reshuffled tactically from there?
