Patrick Roberts, one of the most decorated English teenagers has been purchased by Manchester City from Fulham according to published reports. The fee is said to be in the neighborhood of £11 million, which would represent a large outlay for such a young player. Interestingly this reported fee would be larger than the £8 the Blues spent to secure the services of Fabian Delph who is a full England International.
Roberts, who turned 18 in February has made 19 league appearances in the English Premier League and Championship and has been capped over 30 times for England's youth teams, scoring 14 goals. Ironically Roberts full debut came in March 2014 against Manchester City.
During the 2014-15 season he made twenty appearances between the league and cup competitions and helped Fulham stave off relegation to League One.
On the international level, Roberts made the Team of the Tournament during the Euro 2014 U-17 competition.
