Plenty of rumours doing the rounds this weekend with players linked both with moves in and out of the club.
First up, after two failed bids for Raheem Sterling the Express is reporting that City are willing to match Liverpool's valuation of £50 million. The stumbling block had been a disagreement over City wanting to include part of the fee as conditional add-ons.
A Sterling smokescreen or genuine interest? City have been linked with Arsenal's Jack Wilshere, who The Mirror reported Arsenal are set to offer a five-year £100,000 a week deal to thwart any interest. The Star however suggests Wilshere is torn over a potential move. Objective Football says this would be a bad move for City.
One for the home grown quota? Sky Sports report that both City and Chelsea are interested in signing West Ham's Alex Song.
Transfer target from a couple of summers past Pepe has again been linked with reports suggesting that he may not fit in with new manager Rafa Benitez's plans.
One player linked with a move away has been Edin Dzeko. After what was a miserable season he looked to be the odd man out with Wilfried Bony seemingly moving ahead of him in the pecking order but his agent has dismissed reportsthat he could be heading to Serie A:
"It is all rumours that go on during every transfer window. I am bored of repeating those stories are not true.
"He hasn't rejected any offers because there were no offers. "And that is the whole truth.
"Edin has contract with Man City until 2018 and is happy at the club."
