Ivory Coast came into the 2015 African Cup of Nations as favorites, much to the dismay of Manchester City supporters hoping to get Yaya Toure and Wilfried Bony back as soon as possible. After both players played a starring role in their country's 3-1 semifinal win over Democratic Republic of the Congo, we now know that they will be a part of the tournament for its duration.

The two Manchester City men stole the show in the first half of the match, with Bony providing assists on both Ivory Coast goals in the opening 45 minutes. Toure, meanwhile, opened the scoring in the match with a great goal from outside of the 18 yard box, a ball that not many people could have hit any harder.

While the presence of Toure has been missed in the City squad, and the arrival of Bony is eagerly anticipated, the possibility of the two returning to England in positive form is very exciting.

Ivory Coast await the winner of the second semifinal between Ghana and Equatorial Guinea, which will be played tomorrow.
