Yaya Toure and Wilfried Bony are back with the squad and available for selection for tomorrow's game against Newcastle. (Blackbyron previews the game here in his debut post on Bitter and Blue)
Heading into the game it appears that only James Milner is missing, leaving Manuel Pellegri with some selection decisions. Pellegrini will have one eye on the forthcoming Champions League tie against Barcelona but it is difficult to imagine any sort of rotation given City's position in terms of the title race.
Much of the talk pre-match centres on Wilfried Bony and whether he will make his City debut. I have to think that he doesn't start given his limited time with the squad since signing. If he doesn't, does Pellegrini stick with a 4-4-2 and play Edin Dzeko alongside Sergio Aguero? Or opt for the likely formation that will be fielded against Barcelona on Tuesday?
Elsewhere, how is Toure accomodated into the side and will Eliaquim Magala continue alongside Vincent Kompany? Here's how I think Pellegrini lines up:
Hart
Zabaleta-Kompany-Mangala-Clichy
Navas-Yaya Toure-Fernandinho-Nasri
Silva
Aguero
Thoughts?
