According to multiple published reports Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero is poised to make a return to competitive action in Monday night's mammoth clash with Arsenal at the Emirates. Wilfried Bony has started in Aguero's most recent absence but the Ivorian has also battled fitness issues much of the season. Aguero's on again, off again availability has become a fact of life with the Blues, something the team has addressed in the transfer market and with the promotion of youth players like Kelechi Iheanacho the 19 year-old who has scored two game winners this season for the Blues in Premier League action.
Aguero's return will come just in time as the Blues begin another intense stretch of games, as does every professional side in England during the festive season. Manchester City currently sits a point behind Arsenal in third place, three points behind Premier League leaders, Leicester City. The Foxes face a tough test on Saturday at Goodison Park, meaning the Arsenal-MCFC match could in fact be for the league lead when it takes place.
