Sergio Aguero, Fernando and Pablo Zabaleta will miss Saturday's Manchester City clash with Swansea City.Martin Demichelis will return likely to the subs bench on Saturday. Vincent Kompany and Samir Nasri remain out with longer-term injuries. Kompany's injury situation might force the Blues to reenter the transfer market in January to sign another central defender unless the Belgian skipper can return to consistent match fitness.
Manager Manuel Pellegrini gave a full injury update Friday:
"Aguero is improving but he will not be ready for this game. I hope next week he will start working with the squad Tuesday or Wednesday. We hope he'll be fit for Arsenal (the following Monday).
"Martin was just a precaution last game - he's on the squad list. Fernando and Zabaleta are not ready yet. At least two or three weeks more for Fernando. Pablo I hope in the next week he can start working. I hope Vincent will start work next week.
