Following a solid 3-1 victory over Southampton at the weekend, City return to the comforts of The Etihad to square off against Hull in the Capital One Cup quaterfinals. We hope for some rotation in these cup matches but given the injury list and the importance placed upon the competition by Pellegrini, that isn't very likely. With an eye on Saturday's fixture at Stoke on the horizon, it will be interesting to see how the minutes are divvied up in this one.

The lineups from The Etihad:

David Silva's return to the starting XI is a very welcome sign, as he will start in the hole behind Bony. Ideally we'll get 50-60 minutes from him. Aguero gets the day off following his ankle knock, and it's a day off for Yaya as well. There is youth on the bench in Cameron Humphreys, Manu Garcia, and Iheanacho. Gael Clichy relieves Kolarov at LB and Navas comes in for Sterling.

Looking around the rest of the quarterfinals, Everton travel to Middlesbrough, Stoke host Sheffield Wednesday, and Southampton square off against Liverpool on the south coast tomorrow.
