Fabian Delph's Injury Bug Returns

Fabian Delph is injured yet again. The Manchester City player pulled out of the England squad to face France in tomorrow night's International Friendly at Wembley.  This is the third injury Delph has suffered this season. The England International who transferred from Aston Villa over the summer was injured in the preseason against Real Madrid in Australia. He then regained fitness in time for the September International break but was injured in the first minute of England's UEFA EURO 2016 qualifier against Switzerland at Wembley. Delph finally returned to competitive action two weeks ago in the UEFA Champions League against Sevilla but was subbed off after 63 minutes for England against Spain on Friday. Today it was revealed the player is unfit and will be withdrawn from tomorrow's squad for the friendly.

Delph's injury problems are beginning to be reminiscent of former  Blues midfielder Jack Rodwell whose two injury-plagued seasons at the Etihad ended with his sale to Sunderland. Rodwell however had a history of injuries with Everton, while Delph's recent spat of fitness issue is new for the player.
