After passing a medical with Aston Villa, Scott Sinclair officially became a member of a club other than Manchester City today, as a season long loan to Villa was announced with the potential for Sinclair to move to Villa permanently come summer.
Sinclair, who was never able to obtain consistent playing time during his time with City, expressed his excitement to actually play the game again. From Aston Villa's web site:
"I spoke to the manager, Paul Lambert, and he gave me his views on what he wants from me here at Villa. I am still hungry to play football, that's what I told him, and I'm looking forwarding to getting started, hopefully playing every week and enjoying my football.
It's hard to say that Sinclair will be missed by City, as he was never able to show what he was capable of in Manchester. While some supporters will be hopeful that a permanent transfer happens over the summer to secure more funds for the summer window, others will surely wonder what the club had in Sinclair.
