No doubt more to come on this in the near future but although we don't have official confirmation as yet, Porto have confirmed on their website that an agreement has been reached for the sale of Fernando to City for a fee of 15million Euros.
The signing will offer plenty of tactical options for Manuel Pellegrini, from depth in what is a crucial area for how he lines his side up or even to allow Yaya Toure a more forward-lying role with just one recognised striker. Or, given recent events with Toure, a direct replacement with Fernandinho moving further forward?
