Mark Clattenburg named for title clash

Richard Heathcote

Mark Clattenburg has been named as the referee for the Sunday showdown between Liverpool and Manchester City. He recently officiated the match between Liverpool and Manchester United, where he gave 3! penalties to the Liverpool squad.

For the season, he has only given out 2 red cards, and averages about 3 yellow cards per game.

He has already officiated two Man City matches this season, the 0-0 draw at Stoke City, and the 3-0 win at home against Swansea City. In both games, he gave a yellow card each, and no penalty decisions.

Hopefully he won't make himself part of the story, as too many ref's have been wont to do this season.
