Southampton and Tottenham (hampered by PDO issues)

The rest.

It doesn't matter which way we slice Liverpool's TSR info, it just reminds us of Man United last season. We adjust Liverpool's info and look at Tied, better but still trailing. At Close they are fifth. We adjust for all the time spent winning, 5th. The #greetingsBrendan magic lies elsewhere.

Palace, despite the points progress, have declining shots fundamentals. Also, look at Man United's Tied shots ratio. A sackable offence to turn that team into subpar shots team.

SoTR

This is where Liverpool are good; it is their ability to get shots on net and prevent the opposition from doing the same. Score Adjusted lets them down a touch but Liverpool's numbers are pretty darn good here, but they still trail Chelsea who have were the destroyer of Sunderland's world on Saturday. Mannone was the hero.

SoT Rating/SoT Efficiency?

I need a better name for this stat, I really do.

SoT for% = shots on target for/shots for

SoT Prev% = shots on target against/shots against

SoT Rating/Efficiency/Luck = For% + Prevention%

This stat is kinda like PDO for getting your shots on target. James Grayson wrote a little on the sustainability of SoT For% last night:

Now, James and I use a slightly different data source but the general point still stands. The ability to get your shots on target regresses year on year. SoT Prevention% will likely regress too. So on both sides of the ball it is likely that a teams "ability" to get its shots on target will regress year on year.

The survey says.....Liverpool are bananas:
