Preview: Man City v West Brom

Michael Regan

It's going to be a tough match today against West Brom, who are two points above the drop, and are going to be gunning for a few more wins to bring them to safety. They do have a game in hand over the teams below them, but this will not be an easy one.

Team news: Yaya is still out, as is Jesus Navas. David Silva is doubtful, as he may rest until the next fixture. Matija Nastasic is still missing.

Predicted Squad: Hart, Zabaleta, Kompany, Demichelis, Kolarov, Garcia, Fernandinho, Milner, Nasri, Dzeko, Aguero.

They key to this match will be how Milner, Dzeko, and Aguero combine on the right hand side of the pitch. All three are pretty good passers, but without Silva to make things hum, things can get a bit difficult. Nasri will be important, but he can only be in one place at a time.

West Brom have been involved in some scrappy games, drawing 3-3 against Tottenham and Cardiff City, and winning against Norwich and Swansea. Add in the recent draws against Chelsea, Liverpool, and Everton and this team has done really taking points from the bigger clubs this season. They will not be allowing much space to exploit.

Kolarov will likely be key in firing in some crosses for Dzeko/Aguero, both of whom are good at getting on the end of his passes. Dzeko in particular has put in some great goals from those crosses.

Predicted score: 2-1 for City. One for Dzeko and one for Aguero.
