Preview: Liverpool v Manchester City

Chris Brunskill

I'm so nervous. I haven't had a thought about this game without my heart rate increasing, and my palms getting a little clammy.

While this game isn't a cut and dried title-decider, it's pretty much the closest thing we'll see for the rest of the season. Anfield is guaranteed to be a mad-house, the likes of which haven't been seen in quite some time. There will be an energy there that will be positively palpable.

It's a good thing that our players have been through similar environments in the past few seasons. There aren't many players that I think will be easily rattled by the atmosphere. Hopefully the referee will also be unswayed by the crowd.

Team news: Sergio Aguero, of course, is back. I don't know how much he'll be expected to play, and I don't think that he'll start the game. Other than that, the usual players are still out.

Projected lineup: Hart, Zabaleta, Kompany, Demichelis, Clichy, Fernandinho, Yaya, Nasri, Silva, Milner, Dzeko.

Dzeko will continue to get the time up front, after scoring once, and earning another penalty against Southampton. He's still the most consistent striker away from home, although I expect to see Aguero sometime between the 45' and 60' mark. For some reason Jesus Navas has been getting the starts over Milner, but I would trust Milner more in this game. He doesn't have the same electric pace, but he does more defensively.

It also wouldn't surprise me to see Javi Garcia start behind Ferna, with Yaya moved further forward. Not sure if Pellegrini will start that defensive, or if he will put Javi on later in the game.

Final score prediction: I think this finishes up as a draw, 2-2. I'll be hoping that it is a full 3 points for us, but I'm absolutely terrified.
