Team sheets are in, and a few mild surprises.
Man City: Hart, Zabaleta, Boyata, Demichelis, Clichy, Fernandinho, Toure, Nasri, Navas, Jovetic, Aguero.
Subs: Caballero, Angelino, Sagna, Fernando, Lampard, Milner, Pozo
Sunderland: Pantilimon, Vergini, Revillere, O'Shea, Coates, Cattermole, Larsson, Rodwell, Buckley, Wickham, Fletcher.
Subs: Bridcutt, Brown, Cabral, Gomez, Altidore, Alvarez, Mannone.
- One slight surprise is Boyata getting the start ahead of Sagna, who many picked to partner with Martin on the back line. Pellegrini has mentioned how impressed he has been with Boyata in training, so it could be a dig/motivation at some of the others. As Stuart Brennan mentions on Twitter, Boyata hasn't started a Premier League game since December 28 last year. Big opportunity for him.
- More interesting is Angelino on the bench. He's one that has been fun to watch with the youth squads, and is very highly regarded. Pozo is there as well, and I hope that we get to see one of those two come on and contribute.
Time to break the 4 year streak of losing 1-0! Come on City!!!
