SoTR (shots On Target Ratio) This looks at a teams share of the shots on target count. shots on target f / total shots on target

Fenwick/Unblocked Shots Ratio This looks at a teams share of the shots count with all blocked shots removed. missed shots f + shots on target f / total missed shots + total shots on target

PDO Scoring% (goals/shots on target) + Save % (100-goals against/shots on target against)

PDO

My favourite.

Top 4 PDO teams are also the top 4 PL teams in a slightly jumbled order. Why? Talent disparity, time spent in a winning position which bumps things up slightly.

All these numbers regress, including City and Arsenal and Tottenham. Palace, though, may be a lost cause.

Considering West Ham's downward trend by the shots differentials it is mighty important their PDO remains robust enough to absorb some of the effects of being a poor shots team.

Quality Of Competition

Here's a short explanation. The table below shows the average strength of each teams fixture list using opponents  TSR and SoTR at the time of fixture. The information is not taken weeks before or weeks after but as it stood on the day of the fixture.

I also included the points total of the fixture list faced. Fixture List points = opposition ppg at time of fixture*22.

Table set to opposition SoTR.

Fulham and Arsenal have had it easy by the Shots On Target Ratio opposition. Liverpool by the TSR opposition. Man

Manchester United's opponents have accumulated the highest numbers number of points. Read into that what you will.
