Feels weird having the derby so early in the season, but there's never a bad time to get a nice win over the scum. Lineups are in:
TEAM NEWS: Hart, Zabaleta, Kompany (C), Nastasic, Kolarov, Nasri, Fernandinho, Toure, Navas, Aguero, Negredo #cityvunited #mcfc
— Manchester City FC (@MCFC) September 22, 2013
#mufc XI: De Gea; Smalling, Ferdinand, Vidic, Evra; Valencia, Carrick, Fellaini, Young; Rooney, Welbeck.
— Manchester United (@ManUtd) September 22, 2013
So, the big news is that RVP is out injured. That's a huge relief. Then there's also Olympic diver Ashley Young starting instead of Shinji Kagawa. I like that too. For City, the lineup is basically as expected. Alvaro Negredo starts for Edin Dzeko and David Silva is still not fit enough to play.
Side note: Apparently the last time Arsenal played Stoke and City played United on the same day, Arsenal beat Stoke, and City beat United 6-1. I think we all remember that day. Arsenal have just beaten Stoke 3-1 today. Could it be? One wonders...
