Breaking news this evening as a transfer that has been speculated for a while appears to moving to fruition.
The MEN are leading with the news that a fee of upto £12.5 million has been agreed for Tevez, who has just one year remaining on his contract:
Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez was tonight on the verge of a move to Juventus. The Blues have agreed a transfer fee of up to £12.8m with the Italian giants for the Argentine.
The move now hinges on Tevez, 29, agreeing personal terms with the Serie A champions.
Juve representatives flew to England today to thrash out a deal for the forward.
James Ducker is reporting that the fee is in the region of €9 million, rising to €15 million but where City do make the biggest saving is on his wages:
Juve will pay #mcfc initial fee of €9m which could rise to €15m with add-ons. But wages etc saving on last yr of deal will be £17m!

A good move? We've touched on the merits of re-signing Tevez before on the blog but this was in all likelihood the latest chance the club had of recouping some money back for him and importantly, they do shed some substantial wages from the books.
