In an overall uninspiring performance by City today, we managed to get the goal needed to put us ahead and capture all three points. As City do very often, we dominated possession holding Palace to 23% for the game.
The first half was very flat, with Fernandinho, Silva and Navas looking the most likely to put City ahead. Unfortunately, our best chances became near misses.
City continued to control possession, but Palace tried to take advantage of the time they had with the ball. Palace had a few chances, but couldn't find the back of the net. City's persistence was rewarded when Navas found Dzeko in the box, which the Bosnian tucked away. Palace quickly set out to tie it up, but were unable to.
Another three points and we are at the top of the table, for now. You have to win the ugly ones. Come on City!!
