SoTR

So Man City are the best team in the league in every category. And it's not even remotely close.

Everton are really good, Liverpool merely good.

Cardiff, Sunderland and Fulham are adrift.

Check out Newcastle's Tied SoTR number!

PDO

PDO=Scoring%+Save%.

Liverpool are riding the PDO all the way to the top of that table. I am more concerned about Liverpool and Arsenal's PDO's. What happens if those PDO's regress? They can't fall back on outstanding shots numbers like Man City or Chelsea or Tottenham could.

Liverpool and Arsenal are posting shots numbers that would be good for about 5th place. As it is, both of those clubs have points on the board on the back of outstanding PDO's and merely good shots ratios.

Man City are different.

Tottenham's Scoring% is showing signs of life...

Shots On Target Rating

SoT % For = SoT For/Shots For

SoT% Prevention = 100-SoT Against/Shots Against

SoT Rating = Sot% For+ SoT% Against

This chart is all about attacking efficiency and defensive efficiency in regards to actually getting your shots in target and preventing the opposition from doing likewise.

SoT% prevention appears to favour those teams who get fucking buried by the shots count: Hull, Sunderland and Villa are the best 3 teams in the league by SoT% Prevention.

Anyhow, sort through and play around with it.

*****

Man City are in a pretty good spot right now; The shots ratios are excellent, attacking efficiency is really good and in most of the other statistical categories I look at (and don't publish) they are tops. Fix the save% and some of those defensive errors and this is the dominant team in the Premier League.

This is what happiness and contentment sound like.
