City have named a 24 man squad for the group phase of this seasons Champions League with the headline news being the omission of Kolo Toure from the squad, again sparking rumours that he may complete a move to Turkey ahead of their transfer deadline.

The 24 names are:

City's squad: Hart, Pantilimon, Johansen; Richards, Maicon, Kompany, Zabaleta, Lescott, Kolarov, Clichy, Nastasic, Milner, Nasri, Garcia, Rodwell, Barry, Silva, Y. Toure; Dzeko, Sinclair, Aguero, Tevez, Balotelli, Guidetti.

City can also use upto eight List B players throughout the group phase, with UEFA's definition of List B player as follows:

"A player may be registered on List B if he is born on or after 1 January 1991 and has been eligible to play for the club for any uninterrupted period of two years since his 15th birthday by the time he is registered with UEFA. Players aged 16 may be registered on List B if they have been registered with the participating club for the previous two years without interruption."

The reason only 24 and not 25 players have been named is due to the number of players trained at the club from an early age. As City named only three - Guidetti, Johansen and Richards - this meant one less spot in the overall squad.

UEFA.com also show the full squad listing along with those eligible to play as a List B player.
