Welcome to the group of death or the group of champions as it has been dubbed.

Group D fixtures

Real Madrid v Man City Tuesday 18th September

Man City v Borussia Dortmund Wednesday 3rd October

Ajax v Man City Wednesday 24th October

Man City v Ajax Tuesday 6th November

Man City v Real Madrid Wednesday 21st November

Borussia Dortmund v Man City Tuesday 4th of December

It's a tough group, of that there is no doubt. We will have more discussion on this group later. On first glance my thoughts are a little mixed. The last 2 games of this group will be brutal, if we need a result away at Dortmund things might be a little tricky. the flip side is the 2nd, 3rd and 4th fixtures look relatively straight forward and a haul of 7 points must be the target.

We must use all our group games wisely, don't panic and think we must get an away win. Be patient, plan the projected points we may get from certain fixtures and accept that a point away in a CL game is a great result.
