Michael Johnson

An excellent piece on the demise of Michael Johnson. Oh what could of been if injury and a lack of professionalism hadn't curtailed his career and consigned his Jupiterian potential to the history of Youtube compilations.

Believe me when I say that this youngster had everything. There exists no doubt in my mind that he would be an England midfielder if only he hadn't liked, so the rumours go, nightclubs more than training and eating more than nightclubs.

He had pace from midfield. He could score and glide past opposition players and had an excellent passing range. Injury and an inability to cope with those terrible and accumulative injuries has probably ended all hope of seeing video like this again.

He was the most talented of all Man City's academy products. More so than Richards, more so than Sturridge too.
