City 1-0 Reading: Scoring Chances

Unsurprisingly, City dominated the scoring chances but who stood out individually?

Julian Finney

It may have been a last gasp winner but through the game City outchanced Reading 11-2; 6-0 in the first half and 5-2 in the second half.

The key trio of Carlos Tevez (+5), David Silva (+5) and Sergio Aguero (+3) led the way, but a surprise name joined the pack this week: Gareth Barry. He of course got the winner in injury time but he finished the game a +3 and was involved throughout.

For those critical of Yaya Toure's recent performances, and in particular his lack of offensive contribution, you an add his zero score to your armoury. Admittedly, he was pushed deeper on the hour when Edin Dzeko replaced Javi Garcia but he rarely effected the play from an offensive standpoint as Reading's high line stymied his influence.

For the season City now outchance opponents 188/76, an average of 10.44-4.22 per game and City now require 5.52 chances per goal and allow 5.06 chances per goal.
