Following on from yesterdays news it was only a case of when, not if, and the club have announced that Nasri has now officially signed:
Manchester City FC is delighted to announce the signing of Samir Nasri, who has become Roberto Mancini's fourth signing of the summer.
Nasri follows in the footsteps of Sergio Aguero and Stefan Savic as well as fellow former Gunner Gael Clichy in making the switch to the Etihad Stadium.
The 24-year-old, adept in both wide and central roles, arrives in time to merit consideration for Sunday's game at White Hart Lane against Tottenham, his former club Arsenal's fierce rivals.
The Guardian are reporting the fee to be in the region of £25 million and that Nasri will take the number 19 shirt. SBNation's Arsenal blog The Short Fuse has more on the move here.
The debate as to where exactly Nasri will fit in to the side will now no doubt start and I'll have more on this once time permits.
UPDATE: I have written over at EPL Index just where Nasri is most likely to fit in to the City line-up.
