Following the conclusion of an internal disciplinary process, Manchester City Football Club can confirm that Kolo Toure has received a fine of 6 weeks' wages which relates to doping offences committed by him earlier this year.
Kolo accepts the decision and he and the Club now wish to draw a line under this matter and focus on the season ahead.
There had been reports a week or so ago that Toure was set to fight any attempt to fine him (mainly centred around the loss of image rights) as a result of testing positive for a banned substance earlier this year.
Clearly though, Toure has accepted the decision of the club (something you'd imagine is permitted under the terms of his contract) and instead will look to try and gets his City career back on track as after missing the start of the season due to the ban, he is now a way off from even contesting for the spot alongside Vincent Kompany.
