The policy of locking up the promising Academy players continues:
Dedryck Boyata has penned a contract extension that will keep him at the club until 2014.
The new deal is the icing on the cake for the former Academy graduate who is still pinching himself after breaking into the team shortly after Roberto Mancini’s arrival at the club.
After seemingly coming out of nowhere during an injury crisis at the start of the year, Boyata stepped in and looked very assured during a couple of big games in a brief spell in the side.
Certainly one that you imagine having an impact in the future.
