Game thread: City v Everton

A win this evening of course would mean City top the table at Christmas for the first time since 1929, and they take the field with the news that Carlos Tevez has withdrawn his transfer request and committed his future to the club (with the club pointing out that the terms of his contract remain unchanged).

Everton - despite being mired in a slump of late - is never an easy task, and they have triumphed the past three games in this fixture without conceding.
