Hart - Two routine saves but rarely called into action. 6.5

Boateng - Strong defensively but less presence in attack than anticipated. 6

Zabaleta - Contended well with Nani and could keep Kolarov waiting on the bench. 7

Kolo Toure - Seems far more confident without the armband. Made a couple of late important tackles. 7

Kompany - As good as Vidic was on the opposing side. Excellent in all facets and when will he get the widespread credit he deserves? 7.5

de Jong - Wasn't called upon too much in the tackle but his presence and positioning were so important. 7.5

Barry - Not asked to do a great deal but did it effectively and supported Zabaleta well. 7

Yaya Toure - Flashes of just dominant he could be, but appeared to play within himself for the most part. 6.5

Milner - Appeared on the fringes but an important part of how Mancini set up. 6

Silva - Shackled well by Evra and Vidic but far from his wonderful form of late. 6

Tevez - The midfield stalemate nullified his effectiveness. Not fully fit but ran hard. 6.5

Subs: 

Johnson - Added some impetus but couldn't quite impact on the game. 6

Kolarov - A noticeable presence going forward in his limited action. 6
