With some helpful results elsewhere yesterday, the trip to Blackpool provides an opportunity to jump back up to second in the table with a win seeing us only two points behind Chelsea and establishing a three point lead over Arsenal, United and Tottenham.
It is opportunities such as this that must be taken if the side harbours genuine ambitions this season.
Blackpool have exceeded expectations this seasons and have adopted a positive approach to games. Rather than attempting to be resilient and tough to beat to try and pick up points, they accept the occasional hammering is a price to pay in order to pick up the wins - not well-earned draws - that will be the key to them staying up.
This approach, however, could provide plenty of space for the likes of Silva to exploit and whilst it wouldn't be a surprise to see Blackpool get on the scoresheet, we should have too much firepower to come away with anything but the victory.
