Juventus player ratings

Hart - A couple of shaky moments. Looked to have been able to do better with the goal and misjudged del Piero's free kick late on. 5.5

Boateng - His first start and played both on the right and left. Could have closed Iaquinta down quicker on the goal. Was guilty of being over-elaborate at times. 5.5

Kolo Toure - Largely solid and wasn't overly tested by the Juve attack. 6

Kompany - Another good performance. Like Toure, not particularly tested, but good in possession and looked to try and spark the side. 6.5

Zabaleta - Struggled against the impressive Krasic and guilty of jumping in. Forced off with a hamstring injury. 5.5

Vieira - Appears to be a likely Europa League regular. Neat and tidy as expected, but failed to create a great deal. 6

Yaya Toure - More withdrawn than against Chelsea, and less effective. Produced a wonderful ball for the goal however. 6

Barry - Worked hard once again, but didn't find much reward. Unlucky with the header that hit the post. 6.5

Johnson - Probably the most impressive on the night. In and out of the game, but dangerous with the ball. Took his goal well. 7

Adebayor - Impressed Mancini in training, but the crowd less so. Was a willing trier but, like Mancini said, needs a goal to build up confidence. 5.5

Tevez - Less of a focal point with Adebayor in the side and couldn't quite impact the game as a result. 6

Subs:

Boyata - Reprised his right-back role following Zabaleta's injury and was capable enough defensively. 6

Silva - Made an impact after being brought on late. Looks to be getting up to speed quickly. 6.5

Milner - Little time to make his mark. 6
