Robinho's contribution

Plenty has been said about Robinho's contribution away from home this season, with the accusation being levelled in that he often fails to show up on the road.

Recent away trips though have seen Robinho's work ethic as good as any, something that is borne out in the latest from The Guardian's Chalkboards, showing a comparison of his passing in comparison to the recent home victory over Middlesbrough. The total number of passes Robinho made was forty-five, showing that he was heavily involved in the game.

The majority of his passes appear to be short though, an interesting point to note is that he did not make a single pass into the box on Sunday, an indication that we lacked a real presence and enough midfield in the opposition penalty area.
