There has been a lot of news about the financial fair play sanctions that would be brought upon the likes of City and PSG. Now, it is being reported that City will be facing fines in the region of 60m ($85 million) euro's over three-years, Champions League squad size reduction and a cap imposed for next season to ensure there is no rise in the season's Champions League A squad wage bill. The squad size is reported to hit a reduction for the normal 25 players, to anywhere between 18 to 21 players allowed in UEFA premier competition.
City are expected to challenge the ruling, and have until the end of the week to reach and agreement with UEFA. If no agreement is reached City will face the prospect of having their case handed to a panel for a non-negotiable decision, who can hit City with stiffer sanctions.
What do you think, Blues; Fair, foul or in-between? How will this effect City's chances of a Champions League trophy? The irony of the timing of this report, right?
