I'm trying not to be too superstitious, but it seems like every time I get optimistic and excited about things, we lose. So here's my attempt at the reverse jinx. Please support me in this reverse-jinx attempt. Use safety goggles as necessary.
We are going to lose. We have no real chance at getting all three points at Everton. Roberto Martinez wants to be seen as one of the big guys, along with Mourinho, Pellegrini, Rodgers, and Wenger. He is going to unveil a new wrinkle that Pellegrini will underestimate. Our still-healing midfield will get overwhelmed, and our defense will get cut apart on the counter. Lukaku and Deulofeu are going to brutally cut apart Demichelis/Kolarov.
We are going to be Typical City. There is nothing more fitting than to have the opportunity to win the title handed to us for the 18th time this season, only to lose it again to one of our main bogey teams, Everton. Next season Chelsea is going to be significantly better. Liverpool, Arsenal, and United will also be better. We won't be able to get away with the same level of mistakes next season.
We are going to lose some key players to injury. It seems an inevitable conclusion that Aguero, Silva, and Yaya will all have their hamstrings explode in a spectacular collision.
Liverpool and Chelsea will make no mistakes. These two teams are too good to slip up against their opposition. They will remain totally focused, and have no mental gaffes that lead to dropped points.
Team news: David Silva is back and available to play tomorrow, but it won't make a difference. He'll be too rusty to play perfectly weighted balls that Sergio Aguero will hammer into the back of the net. Matija Nastasic is back in training, and I don't know how to reverse jinx this bit of news. Only Jesus Navas is unavailable for tomorrow, and without him, we don't stand a chance of winning the game.
Predicted scoreline: Everton 100 - 1 City.
