Week 9 (Sortable Tables)

All tables set to Close Game State.

TSR

Man City's close TSR just gets better and better (quality of opposition, sound fundamentals) whilst Fulham's close TSR continues to get worse. It's kinda been this way all season.

Swansea are a sub-par close TSR team. This actually surprises, I thought they were better than this.

SoTR

Man City may be in 8th but they are lights out at close & total. Either the league table isn't telling us the whole truth or the table below isn't telling us truths either. Probably a little bit of both.

Fenwick/USR

Remove blocked shots for/against and things shuffle around a little. Blocked shots or no blocked shots the bottom 5 of the USR table looks like a pretty accurate tell on who may be the bottom 5 teams in the league table come the end of the year.

PDO

PDO...PDO...PDO. Things are starting to level out. Teams who posted a +PDO in week 10, in general, saw that PDO fall in week 11.

Southampton's PDO has fallen almost 7 percentage points in the last 2 weeks. Man United's has risen dramatically.

Tottenham's scoring% is now a major cause for concern. Like, it's going to bounce back. It has to, right? If it does bounce back then Tottenham are going to wreck some opponents.

Set-Pieces

OK, some information on set pieces in this weeks guest table spot.

Set-Piece Ratio = set-piece shots for/set piece shots for+set-piece shots against.

Conversion% = set-piece goals for/set-piece shots for.

Prevention % = Set-piece goals against/set-piece shots against.

Man City continue their tradition of having out of having excellent underlying fundamentals. City's set-piece shots ratio is the best in the league by a fucking mile. Man City have scored 8 goals and conceded 4 goals from set pieces so far this season.

Conversion % and Prevention % vary wildly from team to team.

League average conversion% is 8.67%. League average prevention% is 91.32%.
