Report: Manchester City agree on fee for Edin Dzeko

According to reports from Sky Sports and the Daily Express, Manchester City have agreed on a fee for striker Edin Dzeko from Wolfsburg in Germany worth around 30 million pounds. Dzeko, 24, has long been a target of Roberto Mancini and looks to be able to finally add a legitimate scoring threat up front besides Carlos Tevez. Lethal in front of net with his head and both feet, Dzeko will be expected to step right in as the second choice forward.

Mancini:

We've agreed [on] a fee.

He's a good player and all the teams in Europe want him.

Not only will this push Emmanuel Adebayor, Jo, and Roque Santa Cruz down the depth chart, but it should also leave at least one of them, likely two, out in the cold. Dzeko is a world class player, and gives Mancini offensive options that few in the Premier League can rival.

It looks to be all but a done deal, and while I highly doubt that Dzeko will suit up against Arsenal on Wednesday, you can probably expect him to see him in City blue very soon.
